It was my second time in the store, and I was picking out fish for my 20 gallon tank. Amanda helped us get everything we needed and was super friendly! I was greeted when walking in the door. All the animals look very well kept and healthy. Better than any other pet store I’ve been to. I recently moved to Frederick and very happy to have this as my local fish store for all my fish needs. Great selection of fish and no problems with them so far. Great prices also! Go to this store! You will not be disappointed!

Chris was very helpful / knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and he was also very eager to work with me to come up with solutions to an issue I was having with my fish. (photo attached below) I love having another locally owned fish store in town, especially since this place takes the health of any animal very seriously, they’ve even installed a heated, filtered betta lounge. This place puts any corporate pet store to shame. The store itself is also very clean and well organized. I highly recommend stopping by, you won’t be disappointed!!

This place is exactly what a great local pet store should be. The moment you walk in, you can tell the difference between a business that truly cares about animals and customers and the typical big-box pet store experience. The staff here is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. They take the time to answer questions and make sure people are getting what they actually need rather than just trying to make a quick sale. It’s refreshing to see people who genuinely care about the animals they’re selling and the customers they’re helping. The store itself is clean, well organized, and the animals are clearly well cared for. Prices are also very reasonable, which is something that’s getting harder to find these days. Honestly, corporate chain pet stores couldn’t hold a candle to this place. It’s the kind of store that reminds you why supporting local businesses matters. We keep coming back for supplies and will continue to do so. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re looking for a pet store that actually does things the right way.

This place and the employees are amazing! It's way more than a pet store, but more of an experience, imo. I first stopped in a couple times with my 7 year old son to check out the new place. We ended up spending over an hour checking out the animals and creatures with a ton of education from the staff. Many knowledgeable employees are eager to answer questions and bring out animals to handle and educate you. After multiple trips we purchased a starter kit and 2 young rats. I've stopped multiple times since to get all my questions answered (thank you, Megan!) and never had to wait to be greeted. I decided to stop at a large local box store to check out items they may have and couldn't find an employees anywhere, other than the ones running the register.. This is now my go to shop for my new rat mischief! ❤️
